“Oceansong,” by C. W. Rose 

 

First thing first, because of the cover I thought this book would be a cozy read! I was completely shocked while reading that it was wayyyyyyy more intense, and I loved everything about it. I loved how both sides were in the wrong, one way or another, but also both sides were justified. I loved the amount of discrimination between mermaids and humans and how the main characters really just wanted to experience the other side, and both were more open-minded than everyone else. I loved how did intimate time; I think that was the sweetest cozy part of the entire book lol. Both main characters were written so well, I loved them both and was super attached. 5 out of 5 stars.
