BANTERRRRRR!!! If there's one thing Maniscalco knows how to do, it's write banter than makes me FERAL. Envy and Carmilla's interactions were literally SO FUN. Envy's deadpan humor had me literally dying.

This book is what is, though, which is a ROMANTIC fantasy. It's a patchwork of tropes, which is fun in a way but also makes the story feel disjointed. But it also has quotes like, "If you run, I will chase you." But also has an ACOTAR riddle that was beyond ridiculous.

Overall, this did exactly what it needed to and nothing more, which was great!
