Hrmm. Not a fave. Poor Neomi and Conrad really go through it. There's not a lot of humor in this one, I think my favorite parts were where Nix and Mari showed up. One of my least favorite romance themes is that love cures mental illness; Conrad never fully recovers but he manages to go from raging homicidal hate-filled maniac to functional adult and it's all thanks to finding everlasting lurrrrrve [barf]. I did like that nutria were mentioned several times, since Neomi's house is near a bayou and she likes watching them and the tadpoles.
