A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare
5.0
Well having read a few of Shakespeares tragedies this year, I have to say that this was a glorious, fulfilled and joyous pleasure. It isn’t my favourite Shakespeare, it isn’t even in my top five, but that isn’t to say I didn’t love it.
I found the language much easier to follow and the plot is simpler. I also smiled throughout the read. I might have liked it to be a little longer maybe. I enjoyed all the nature and supernature. I liked the characters and I was enchanted.
A perfect little story and I think no better book to read during midsummer.
A reread this year 2023.. loved it but still not in my top five Shakespeare
