Hidden Riches by Nora Roberts

5.0

One of Nora Roberts older novels, Hidden Riches provided me a welcome escape after a very long week. The books gives us an antique seller who hails from a theatrical family, an independently wealth ex-cop (Captain) with relationship issues, and two tiers of creep villains -- one more and the other high-end. When our heroine Dora unwittingly buys smuggled art/collectibles, her world is turned upside down; good thing Jed, an ex-police Captain has moved in across the hall.

Hidden Riches has a typical Roberts flow, but I loved it because it kept me interested from start to finish and I genuinely liked Dora as well as Jed. Their relationship definitely wasn't conventional and I love Dora's strength and personality -- and her family. The action was fast-paced and dialogue made me smile. Extra points for the peppering in of theatrical, art, and antique references.

If you're a fan of Nora Roberts, you can't go wrong picking up a copy of Hidden Riches.
