Amazing Grace is a book that shows all Black and Brown girls they can have imagination, goals, and visions for their lives. For a moment, I didn’t think I had read this one, but it is quite common that I read this to either my daughter or kids in my after school program. Nonetheless, I enjoyed reading it again because it makes us accountable to our own futures. If you can believe and manifest your own life, then we must also create and remember who we are, where we came from, and how far we have left to go. Amazing Grace is a great book to discuss identity, ethnicity, and race in America.

The audiobook narrator was great and kept me interested in the story for sure. It was most definitely a love letter to all the little black girls that a “You Can Do Whatever You Put Your Mind!”
