In the Lives of Puppets by TJ Klune

5.0

'In an old and lonely forest, far away from almost everything, sat a curious dwelling.'

I can't really overstate my love for this book. Victor and his small family of mechanical misfits go on a quest that is filled with humor (some of it delightfully raunchy) and emotional depth. If you take Pinnochio, The Wizard of Oz, Frankenstein, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show and put them in a blender, you'd come close to the magic that is this book. It's brilliant and unforgettable.

'The world had teeth, sharp and fierce, and they were about to sink into Vic's skin.'
