literally f me this series is so good and the characterization is so quality - SJM can write fantasy characters that will become your entire personality forever LIKE NO ONE ELSE 🤌🏼
I could cry at how much I loved this book, which is saying something judging by how frickin long it took me to read (but I’m blaming it on a slump okay)!!!
first off, I have to address my bb chaol 😅 I went from absolutely being team chaol to being a lil sus at why he was continuing to be loyal to the king to wanting to punch him through a window at how he was treating aelin to absolutely loving him again. he is a precious gem of a conflicted morally grey character & I’m actually low key looking forward to his book 🥹
second of all, THE FEMALE EMPOWERMENT FRIENDSHIPS!!! aelin, lysandra, and nesyrn are giving me ALL of the valkyrie vibes 👏🏼 we were spoiled at their budding friendship & I hope no one touches my babies thank youuuu
third of all, MANON AND HER THIRTEEN GIVE ME SO MUCH LIFE!!! and her developing feelings and guilt and everything she built up being a lie??? please end me I live for this drama 😭👏🏼
I would seriously die for any member of aelin’s court … rowan and aedion, the hot fae males? slay me. LYSANDRA MY QUEEN? double slay me. chaol, nesyrn and the bad batch version of guards? super slay 🥰🧚🏼♀️
while I did find the first half of this book to be so slow and unnecessary at times, the second half MORE than made up for it!!! it was definitely the most action packed and plot forward book we’ve gotten so far.
I cannot recommend this series enough wow just do yourself a favor and read this 🥹🥹🥹
