This was a wholly addicting, wonderful collection of short stories and brief novellas. I'm not usually a fan of them, but Jordan Castillo Price and her hilariously witty writing and Victor Bayne, medium extraordinaire and walking disaster of a man, made me appreciate them so much.

All of these shorts span the first seven books of the series and it was lovely to get a glimpse of Victor and Jacob's everyday "normal" life, as well as discovering a few interesting and new facts about them both and their respective past. We also get a few shorts from Jacob's POV: I've never hidden the fact that I wasn't a big Jacob fan in the beggining, but I eventually fell in love with him (and his uber-competitive and highly capable self) too after getting to know him and his motives a bit better. I loved finally reading his thoughts about Victor, and we even get a short set before the beginning on this series, when he first glimpses Victor at a Psycop meeting: needless to say, I loved that one to absolute bits.

These shorts were a mixture of fun and easy, snarky and dark, romantic and steamy, and they're all so interesting and so wonderfully written, and JCP's usual witty storytelling and Victor's unhinged and darkly sarcastic narration made them even more fun and compelling.
