Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant

5.0

I was really excited going into this one because I love siren/mermaid stories. This is by far the best one I’ve read. It was TERRIFYING. Deliciously terrifying. And so so so realistic, which is why I think it was so scary.

I adore how much representation this book has. There’s several queer characters, and THREE (3!!!) physically disabled main characters. That never happens and honestly makes me want to cry. One of the queer characters is also autistic, which I loved. There’s close to no queer autistic rep out there.

The story was so compelling and I found myself enjoying the science. I like how it’s broken down in a way that helps us understand it.

I really really enjoyed this novel and highly recommend it!
