The Seven Songs of Merlin by T.A. Barron
4.0
I enjoyed this book! I think it was slightly weaker in pacing than the first book, but as always T.A. Barron paints such beautiful imagery with his words. I found myself touched, emotionally, several times throughout the book as he described the way Merlin felt.
I did feel like Merlin's naivete was excessive at times, and didn't feel entirely natural, but the 3rd quarter of the book was so beautiful, and had a great message, that I will carry with me, so clearly the story came through as needed haha
Also, the twist at the end genuinely surprised me! haha
I look forward to continuing the series to see how Merlin continues to grow.
