This edition was condensed and had illustrations on every other page. I will read the original unabridged edition and update my review for this edition later.
For now, the author, Marion Leighton, who adapted this version, seems to have left out some vital events or doesn't focus on them as much as she should. I suppose this version would make for a nice introduction to the original if a young child isn't quite ready to read it.
