Adelaide by Genevieve Wheeler

Depending on the synopsis you read for this one you could be expecting a different book. I had seen a couple of different ones. This is not a romance. It is not supposed to be. This is about a woman’s battle with her past, trauma, and mental illness. It’s about how outside of romantic relationships that platonic friendships are sometimes more rich and rewarding.

I know many of the negative reviews are calling Adelaide stupid and pathetic, which I do not agree with at all. She may not be entirely self aware. She is trying her best. And she was head over heels in love. She was blinded by her love for Rory.

Again, this is not a romance. We are not supposed to be admiring her and Rory’s relationship or wanting them to be together.

I absolutely loved this book. It was beautifully written. Her friends and people in her life that cared for her were truly special. Adelaide is special!
