Echo is cast out of her Beta community when she ascends to an Omega and is captured by a high-level Alpha–the Dark City Berserker (Adam). However, their bond is a little off and their journey contains a lot of spookiness. Pros: Dystopian vibes. Interesting plot reveal. Adam was down bad for Echo. Cons: The inconsistency with Adam’s dialogue switching from broken English to full sentences was noticeable and didn’t make sense. Miscommunication trope. Ending was underwhelming.
Graphic: Violence, Blood, Injury/Injury detail, and Classism
Moderate: Death, Sexual content, and Abandonment
Minor: Rape, Sexism, Suicidal thoughts, and Grief
