This was my 2nd try at reading this book and it was successful! I dip my toe into Sci-fi now and then but really don't enjoy scifi that takes place in space. I liked that this book's world felt like a whole different world on a planet(s) or a different fantasy world.
Part 1 had me turning pages and wanting more, more, more! That dinner scene.....chef's kiss!! Part 2 wasn't as engaging for me but still good; and Part 3 had exciting moments that now have me figuring out if I want to continue with the series (at least the next two books).
Many don't care for the writing or the narration changes within pages, but that didn't bother me at all.
