Supermutant Magic Academy by Jillian Tamaki

5.0

Dec. 13th: A fantastic look at intelligent teenagers and their hopes, fears, and disappointments. Tamaki treats that age group with dignity by allowing them to be themselves. The students care about relationships, death, the meaning of life, systems that oppress them to make them better consumers, and whether or not to go to prom. Almost the entirety of the book is set up in one-page increments until you get closer to the end. This book was a great one to engage me and also give me space. You can easily pick up and put down SuperMutant Magic Academy thanks to the short nature of its design.

Dec. 9th: Just reading this one for fun. My brain hurts too much around finals to do a full, in-depth review! I will make comments when I'm done reading, though :)
