Fans of the series won't be surprised to learn that all the trademark humor of Dexter is still present in this volume, making for a fun, fast-paced read.
The story may be a bit predictable - and in some places it's not, even to this writer who knows structure - but that's not why Dexter's fans love him. We love the humor, the snark, we love Deb's constant cursing, Rita's fractured sentences, and Aster and Cody's wide, eager eyes.
There's even a bonus family member in this installment.
Overall, an enjoyable read, and one I'll recommend.
