this was my third time trying to read and my third DNF. i really wanted to like this book but it’s so slow paced esp at the beginning and gave me no reason to care about the characters as individuals beyond just the assassination plot. but the main reason was honestly the worldbuilding—too much information too fast; i felt like i was thrown into the deep end at the very beginning with little explanation of anything. :/
