Thought provoking about animal rights, how our childhoods influence us and the malleability of memory. I really liked the untraditional structure of the book and how it made you question memory and how experiences continue to shape our lives. It was a good time to read the book having done
comparative cognition about chimpanzees
At times, the style of the writing just wasn't very appealing to me (although it was executed well) and I found the ending a bit unsatisfying. Some of the characters seemed a bit unfinished and could have had better development.
