My favourite of the series so far. We didn't know much about Mouse, despite him being a well known character. I loved watching his character develop and figure out what he was really searching for and what he needed to help his mind and body heal. Cal was such a special soul, he was calm and patient and had such a special bond with Mouse. This book had me crying during the prologue and again in the epilogue, very poignant and heartfelt. A lot of heavy intimacy that felt special and private between the two men, lovers from the start, and a deep respect for one another. Lots of various kinks, especially pain play and I will mention fist ing because that is always a click buy for me. There are a few side characters that no doubt have a story in them, Doc's being the most obvious. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
