To be honest, I chose this book as my BOTM this month because the cover is just so pretty. I wasn't sure how much I'd like a book about being stranded on an uninhabited island, but wow did this book surpass any expectations I had. The characters in this story are extremely likeable, regardless of how shitty some of them are (except Nico, I really hated him lol). There was a lot of background info on all the characters without feeling like it was taking away from the story. And the twist at the end! I was completely shocked by the ending and really did not expect what happened, and I'm usually pretty good at guessing twists
