“I called Claire first - the medical examiner; then Cindy - the best crime reporter in San Francisco; then Jill - my lawyer. The girls came running.”

By page 10 of this I was certainly hooked because that's when the true action of the book starts. As soon as I read page 10 I got the vibes of Law and Order: SVU and the first Bad Boys movie (aka. the best one!). Later on I started to also get the vibes of Criminal Minds mostly because of how sick and twisted the killer was.

– In my opinion I’m a major mood reader so I kept wanting to read another book at the same time as this one but I told myself I couldn't pick up another book until I completely finished this one. I’m so glad I did tell myself that because who knows if I would’ve finished this as quickly as I did. But one main point as to what kept me going while reading this was just how good it was. There were so many twists and turns with each turning of a page! This book definitely had me at the “edge of my seat” for the entirety of it.

The EPILOGUE…OMG! You can not be serious! I was totally not expecting that ending but good lord I’m so glad it was written. Usually the plot twists come a couple of pages or so before the end of the book but no this time it was at the very END but I loved it. I could write an 8 page essay on this book alone if I really wanted to because WOW!

Cindy aka. “the boss reporter girl” was totally my favorite character as a girl who is majoring in the same field that Cindy is already working in. She is the type of character who never backs down even in the slightest. The other women of the murder club were all amazingly written women who were so headstrong (in a good way) and weren’t about to take in bulls**t form any person not only in their line of work but also out. I've never read a James Patterson book I didn't enjoy and I'm totally not about to start today!

This is why I’m a firm believer of just going into Barnes and Nobles and just selecting different books from different genres but maybe by the same authors who you are familiar with or maybe not familiar with.

This is totally my year of reading books from different genres rather than sticking to my most common ones: fantasy and romance

P.S. maybe now I can finally sleep when I’ve finished this book…*fingers crossed*
