I absolutely adore this!! I love the Lays of the Hearth Fire books so much and this had cemented for me that I would read the series from the perspective of literally any character who appears in it. (This honestly applies to all of Victoria Goddard's Nine Worlds books I've read). The world is so rich and the cultures are so beautiful and I will devour any and all glimpses into it that I can. And it was so lovely (and hilarious) to get to see the main characters of the series from an outside perspective.

Reading this has only increase my desire to pick up Hands of the Emperor again and reread it with this additional perspective, it has truly made an already perfect book even better.
