The Phone Booth at the Edge of the World by Laura Imai Messina
2.0
I was disappointed by this book, and forced a speed read through the last 25% in order to even finish. What a rich concept and beautiful idea that is completely missed by the author. The phone booth itself is only mentioned about a half-dozen times. Instead of focusing on the meaning, impact, and power of such a place, the story focuses on menial details of seemingly-random characters. Huge let-down.
