This was such a lovely read. I haven’t really delved into short stories in a while, and this was a great way to get back into it. It’s always such an interesting exercise in what you’re able to do with character development in such a short time, and Anthony doerr is kind of a master at it. I think my favourite was probably the hunter’s wife, but every single one of them except for maybe a tangle by the rapid river wowed me.
