Life Ceremony by Sayaka Murata
5.0
4,5/5
Sayaka Murata’s weird concepts, body horror and characters who don’t fit into society’s norms fit all work so well in short stories! Few of the shorter ones didn’t have much of an impact, but most of the others are BRILLIANT. The title refers to a story where people are eaten at their funerals, which gives an idea of the collection as a whole.
