My heart. Pawn is the first book in the Fae Games series by Karen Lynch. Jesse's parents, who are faerie bounty hunters, went missing and she is doing everything in her power to find them. During her adventures she meets Lukas. Lukas is a faerie, who offers to help her to find her parents as he is searching for someone that might be connected to Jesse's parents.

After LOVING the Relentless series by Karen Lynch, I couldn't wait to finally get my hands on Pawn! And I was blown away. I actually had to force myself to stop reading to enjoy the book for a bit longer and not devour it in one day. Still, I read it far too fast and want to re-read it again! But I am so glad that I enjoyed this book so much. I can't even put everything into words.

I love Jesse. She is strong, independent and knows what she wants. She cares deeply for her brother and fellow hunters and creatures. Lukas is... I don't really know how to describe him. He is powerful and mysterious. But he also cares about others! His friends are quite fun. They are all so different in character that it is fun to see them interact. Jesse's best friend Violet is just amazing. She is so supportive. There a quite some promising characters in this book and I can’t wait to meet them again in the second book.

Also, the author ended the book with a cliffhanger that makes my heart ache for the next book! I feel a little shaken after this book. I just want to re-read it again! The teasers Karen Lynch has already posted about the second book make me crave the publication date for it even more.

Thank you for this book. Thank you for this story. I can't wait for the second book. Highly recommending everything Karen Lynch has written so far.

Second Read:
Oh gosh! As I just can't wait for the second book to be released, I read this one again. And it was as good as when I read it the first time! Still can't wait for the second book.

Third Read:
Still very much in love with this book. Excited for the third book to come out soon!

Fourth Read:
Still one of my favourite books. I am currently re-reading all of Karen Lynch's books and I can't stress enough how good they are.
