This book is excellently written. Dickie seemlessly balances writing in different tones- beauty, humor, and sorrow. She is a truly intrepid writer. Eight Bears is educational, entertaining and somber when needed. I am deeply moved after reading and am grateful to Dickie for bringing attention to the history and plight of bears. I hope many people read this book.
