The Slow Regard of Silent Things by Patrick Rothfuss
5.0
Slow blooming and insistently good
Rothfuss writes a story that fairly boggled my mind with its snail-crawl movement, like a winter tree in spring, plodding into greenness but then suddenly all a-bloom. As a lover of words and beautifully written things, I came to adore this story. This was my first book that I read of Rothfuss, but I am intrigued to read more. I mostly loved the expectation that lived through the pages of the story as Auri prepared for her guest.
This book is for you if you enjoy Kahlil Gibran or poetic prose.
This book is not for you if you're looking for a tension-filled, fast-moving story.
