“I’ve got a future with her. Dare to talk to her again and you won’t have a future at all. Don’t come again. She won’t call.”
“Some days I feel too much,” she admitted quietly. “And today was one of them. I wasn’t sure if you could handle it.”
He wanted her. What precisely he wanted, he wasn’t sure. Her body, no-brainer, serve it to him hot, cold, wet, dry, he’d eat like a king, but he wanted her protected too. He wanted to be her shield and if he was hers, then dammit, he’d have to be one for the entire Peck clan.
He wanted to tell her right then. Tell her everything. How all the reasons they shouldn’t be together didn’t fucking matter. He’d try for her, with her. On his knees through glass, he’d try.
Pretty girl sounded like fresh honey dripping onto her skin, like a beautiful and protective shield covering her imperfections. That’s how Miles made her feel.
“You can’t possibly think I have a good enough imagination to picture true beauty. Spread those legs and let me see.”
