I really really enjoyed this book. This is a big call but it is up there with one of my favourite books by a bravolebrity!
If you have watched The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, you may have made your own mind up about Heather Gay but do you know the real Heather!? My answer is, if you haven’t read this book then you have no idea.
All l knew about the Mormon religion is what I saw on the documentary ‘Keep Sweet & Obey’ and on stage during ‘The book of Mormon’. I felt that Heather was very honest and raw in this book.
Sometimes with a memoir the author spends too much time talking about different phases of their life however with ‘Bad Mormon’ Heather gives up just enough so we get have the information we need without it dragging.
I did start this as an audiobook with Heather herself reading it which I loved! I love when people narrate their own memoirs, it’s like listening to a podcast and you pick up on more when you hear the inflection in their voice. I switched to the book once it came in at the library because I get through physical books quicker.
Loved this book and I recommend whether you’re apart of the Bravo fan base or not, if you are a fan, the inside mentions of others in the franchise is very fun.
