In light of what is happening in Occupied Palestine, this was a read that tore me open. The poems do not hide the pain of Palestinians in Occupied Palestine or in diaspora. 

The afterword turned this into a five-star read. 

We cannot keep infantilizing Palestinians to see the barbarity in their murders. All Palestinians deserve life and freedom. 

May the colonizers be defanged in our lifetime. RIP Rifqa El-Kurd. Your fight for Palestinian freedom will not be in vain 🇵🇸
