this really grew on me as it went and their relationship blossomed. i don't think it does anything necessarily new with its premise but i liked its approach in not just how these two continued to grow in their relationship, separately and apart. i liked that it touched on sex in a fairly realistic way and also the possibility of them growing apart from each other as they moved onto college and their adult lives. it still feels fairly wish fulfillment-y in that everything for the most part turns out for the best but hey, i ain't mad about it. also unrelated but i loved all of serena's outfits. a+, would wear.
