This book is definitely hard to get into, and I had a slow start because I had no idea whatsoever what I was in for, except that this book was strongly recommended to me. I'm not really sure how to describe it, but it's a brilliant...lots of things: depiction of mental health, exploration of the nature of reality, musings about world religions. It's definitely not for everybody though, the least of the reasons for which are that it doesn't really have a "plot" and the characters are definitely not likeable.
