The 8th Confession by Maxine Paetro, James Patterson
5.0
Another great installment from the Woman's Murder club, it is like catching up with old friends. Yuri is having career problems, can't seem to win a case. Lindsay is still deciding on her future with Joe and he gets a boost to his new job. Cindy takes on the plight of the homeless. And Claire is a minor player with not news to catch up with on her. Now moving on to the cases in this book and their are quite a few. Very rich important people are found dead and their is nothing at the crime scene to indicate foul play and all the autopsy tests come back negative. So how did they die? An homeless man is found badly beaten and shot to death, Cindy decides that is death shouldn't be forgotten and pushes the case to the newspaper to keep the police working it. This is the case that has many turns to it, but nothing outlandish and the conclusion fits. The rich people who are dying have a different motive and method of death than I find in most books. This book even had a LOL moment or two, and very orginial ideas to keep the plot moving forward.
