This is the 4th in the Midnights in Scotland series. It’s good, but not my fave.
There is some serious trauma (please check the CWs) for both MCs that they (like lots of Braden MCs) work through, ahem, physically.
There are (of course) some very romantic moments.
This could have been really fun (in a bonkers forget some feminism way) but the unnecessary bits of darkness took away from that.
You will get some great enemies to lovers fated mates magical realism (Mrs. MacBean!).
Also, Angus and Nora are featured a lot in this installment and I am once again BEGGING Braden to give us a book for them.
Finally, I highly recommend audio for this whole series, Ruth Urquhart gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
