The Sequel by Jean Hanff Korelitz

4.0

If you liked The Plot, you'll like this too -- and if you haven't read The Plot, you'll definitely need to in order to read this sequel.

The Sequel is like The Plot in that there are tons of funny insider references to book culture -- i.e., the guy at the end of the signing line who lets everyone go ahead of him so he can have the author to himself for longer or the guy in the signing line who signs a copy of his own book and gives it to the author, etc.

The Sequel is also like The Plot in that it's a tense, twisty literary thriller. Maybe not quite as good as The Plot, but what sequel is ever is good as the first?
