For a book that spent so long setting up Ellery’s journey of choosing themselves instead of sacrificing for others, it’s insane that their Big Deed at the end was to put their life in danger for someone else? If feel like we really lost the plot there. 

Also the romance felt disjointed. Both way too slow and then so abrupt after they’d both spend so much time avoiding it?

It was cute for the most part, I just wish there was more time and emphasis placed on the magic.
