I definitely agree with all the other book girlies in saying that this one isn't the best of the best but it's still a fun read if you're in a romance mood. There was something about Nash as a character that I just did not enjoy reading, I'm not sure if it was just the fact that I couldn't empathise with him or if it was that maybe I didn't enjoy some of his character traits or even his inner monologue, I couldn't pinpoint it even if I tried but something about him icked me a bit. However, Lina is a queen, she's giving maneater in those stilettos and she slayed all the way. I connected a lot more with her than I did Nash. In the first book I connected more with Knox than Naomi. I started the third one and I already cried twice, Sloane and I are gonna have a journey together.
Going back to this book, I like how the author carried on with the whole criminal hunt plot and actually incorporated it really well into the plot of this book, connecting both characters to it in their own way, it played quite the role in their character development individually and as a couple. Overall, it was okay, I had slightly higher expectations.
