I desperately wanted to like this but it ultimately fell flat for me both on the plot and on the romance fronts. I felt little to no tension and heat between the MCs and the plot about the Hanukkah festival felt flimsy at best and borderline offensive to Vermonters at worst. I won’t write off this author just yet but I was hoping for a fun Hanukkah holiday romance and instead felt bored for most of it. Oh well!
