I was looking forward to reading Life After Life because of winning goodread's best historical fiction (2013) and the percentage of 4 & 5 star reviews.....although it is well written and intricately crafted, I should've read all the reviews before I jumped so quickly into this. I'm with the minority who didn't enjoy the overriding reincarnation theme and found it difficult to care about the character since she was going to die soon and begin again.... Like another reviewer said, "like a build your own adventure." The writing allows me to give this a 3, but it's a book I will not be recommending (which I usually rate a 2).
