I really enjoyed this book which was recommended by a colleague. I listened to the audiobook and I am glad I did. The narrator was excellent and her voice brought a lot to the story. I learned a lot about the blue people of Kentucky, which I had never heard of before. I also learned a lot about life in Kentucky between the wars. I think the combination of a good plot and a strong female character made this a great read.
