Yall, when I tell you I am OBSESSED with Cal, I fucking mean that!!!

Despite what he does for a living (and everything he's been through) Cal's sunshine-y personality was infectious, and his dark humor had me cackling. I just wanna hug the shit out of this murderous cinnamon roll so much πŸ₯Ή

I even loved him and Ryan’s less than cute meet cuteβ€”can we even call it that when Cal showed up to kill him due to a little misunderstanding? Idk, but these two have my whole fucking heart.

Even though their start was a bit questionable, the chemistry and banter between them was πŸ‘ŒπŸ» & I loved how Cal helped (😏) Ryan come into himself and embrace his sexuality.

The Mercenary and the Mortician by Alexandra St Pierre, part one in the Silent Hollow seriesβ€”a shared world with Alina May is coming February 4th.

This was my first read by Alexandra, and is definitely not for the faint of heart, but I loved every minute of this chonky beeb.

- mercenary + mortician, obviously
- dark mm romance
- queer awakening
- grumpy x sunshine
- opposites attract
- paranormal
- dual POV
