Whisper Network by Chandler Baker

This book really resonated with me. Although the messaging was a little heavy-handed at times (the “we” statements took me out of the narrative a bit), I thought it was incredibly well-told. It offered so many truths about what it’s like to be a working woman, and it depicted the complicated realities of speaking out about sexual harassment and assault. The characters were sympathetic without being too perfect (I especially liked the gray area of Sloane and how a workplace affair can slide into sexual harassment), and it accurately described the different ways women try to survive in the workplace. I think it’s an incredibly important book for everyone to read.
