I thought this was going to be more of a memoir rather than self help book. The target audience is definitely U.S as it talks about 9/11 and handy tips like how to purchase a bulletproof door and windows. I hope that doesn't come in handy in a wee city in Scotland. 

I did find some sections interesting such as rapport building and interview techniques I could use in my professional life.
