Bones and All is an interesting take on cannibalism with a specific focus on the concept of othering, and the way it impacts relationships and connection. I especially think the familial connections between Maren, her mother and her father were thought provoking. While the plot felt a little YA at times, it was an enjoyable read and the developments were interesting. The ending did however fall a bit flat for me - I don’t quite know what I would have preferred but it felt a little unfinished or rushed.
