First of all, I absolutely love anything witch related because, I mean, witches are amazing. But also, I just adore the puppy love that's captured in this book. Thea and Eric are soulmates but Eric is definitely an adorable holden retriever and Thea is a sweet little pup too and they are just very cute together. I read this when I was younger and I still remember the gruesome scene with Randy. When rereading this book today, my veins filled with ice at reading that scene. It's just written really well.

I think obviously there are things that I would've wanted added or changed. I think I would've wanted their kiss to be something more than what it was. Also, I would've wanted there to be more sweet moments between Thea and Eric where they really were falling in love. But, instead it was very much insta-love which I don't feel strongly about either way. It's just not my favorite trope. But otherwise, a very engaging and entertaining read!!
