Tanner: Small Town Billionaire Romance by Samantha Skye
5.0
I absolutely devoured this book in one sitting. From the start of this book it had me pulled in. This book had the perfect blend of tension, banter, spice and some suspense.
We meet Victoria who just went through a rough break up and then she finds out she inherited a house from a family member that she had only met a handful of times. When she moves into this house she doesn’t expect to meet Tanner or that Tanner would come to her wanting to buy her land. But Victoria knows what she wants and so the back and forth banter comes into play between these two.
Tanner is a successful businessman. He loves his town of Whispers and wants to see it grow the way it should while also helping its town residents. But when he finds out his neighbor has passed he wants to buy the land to expand his business. What he didn’t expect was to meet the beautiful and feisty Victoria. He has never been told “no” when it comes to his business and doesn’t know how to handle Victoria. But as they get to know each other they make a truce and their friendship slowly turns into more.
This was a perfect age gap book (20years). Victoria and Tanner had the best chemistry. While they didn’t start off on the right foot I absolutely loved the banter between these two and even Tanner’s son bantering with his dad about Victoria. The tender moments that Tanner had for Victoria will make you swoon and we of course can not forget the spice. The spice was perfect in this book while also seeing these two grow together.
I love romantic suspense in books and so therefore the suspense was an added bonus to this book and while I had guessed who it was it was still interesting to read the why/how aspect of it. During this scene it just makes me excited to continue the series to get the other characters' books.
Thank you to the Author Agency and Samantha Skye for the ARC of this book
