I had high hopes for this book, but I was blown away. I laughed, I cried, and I missed the Obama administration like crazy. While Michelle was a vocal and present First Lady, I loved getting to hear her life story from her, and how she felt about several things that happened during Barack’s time in office.

I love the Obama’s and part of that is because I felt like they are genuine people- truly trying to make a positive difference in America. This book affirms that feeling and reinvigorated my spirit of wanting to enact change. It’s hard to put everything this book embodies into a few sentences, the best I can do is say it is worth the read, and has easily become a top book of 2018 for me.
