Give Me Butterflies by Jillian Meadows
3.0
2.5 stars
"Give Me Butterflies" was overly... cute and lighthearted. While the book delivered on cozy romance vibes, I couldn’t help but notice the plot wasn’t really plotting. The story lacked depth, and the grump-to-sunshine dynamic fell flat—Finn wasn’t grumpy enough to leave an impression, and the STEM aspect wasn’t as prominent as I’d hoped.
That said, decent debut from the author and she did a lovely job exploring grief and family dynamics, adding emotional weight to an otherwise lighthearted read. The mushy, over-the-top romantic moments might not be for everyone, but for readers who love cozy, heartwarming stories, this could be a perfect pick.
Overall, it’s a sweet, easy read, but ultimately a forgettable one for me. If you’re looking for a fluffy romance with minimal conflict and plenty of feel-good moments, it might be worth a try!
